A/C & HEAT

Your central air conditioning and heating system plays a major role in keeping your home comfortable. Since it rarely calls for our attention, we don’t always give it much respect. We treat it as part of the house, and forget that our central comfort system is a complete working system, working to keep our home environment comfortable and consistent throughout. It contains liquids under pressure, gasses under pressure, motors, electrical and electronic controls and more. Like any other electro-mechanical equipment it will perform its job better, more efficiently, and for a longer period of time if it’s properly maintained.

We all know how important it is to maintain the oil and transmission fluid in our cars, the compression in the engine, the air pressure in our tires, the gas level in the tank. It keeps the car starting when you want it to, running smoother, getting better gas mileage, and lasting a lot longer. It’s the same with your home’s central comfort system. You want it to come on automatically before it gets too hot or too cold in the house and adjust the air temperature, clean the air as it recirculates it, use less electricity to run, and last a long, long time before it needs replacement. Your home comfort system is a major investment, and as all mechanical systems with pressures and moving parts, it will break down eventually; sooner if it’s not cleaned and maintained. Make the effort to keep your home comfort system tuned up and operating efficiently, to reduce unexpected problems and keep your energy bills lower.

Just like a car, again, you can choose to ‘soup up’ your home comfort system after it leaves the factory, and accessorize it with some aftermarket add-ons that can actually improve the quality of the air that recirculates through your home. Even an older system can usually be upgraded to help clean the air in your home. You can increase the filtration to clean smaller and smaller particles out of the air, without obstructing the airflow. You can add an ultra-violet light kit to your system (like hospitals have used for years) to reduce airborne bacteria and live viruses. You can even get an ‘air scrubber,’ for those homes that desire maximum ‘whole house’ air purification and want to provide a ‘hospital-like’ clean air environment.

Sooner or later you will replace your home comfort system. We’d like to be the company you choose to do the job, but old or new, your system should undergo an annual maintenance tune up. The newer your system is when you start annual maintenance, the longer it can be made to last. Protect that investment. We can replace your home comfort system sooner, or let us tune it up and maintain it for you, and maybe we can replace it for you later.
